STAMP DUTY HOLIDAY EXTENDED
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has today (Wednesday 3rd March 2021) confirmed that the £500,000 nil rate stamp duty banding will be extended until 30th June 2021.
Following that, the nil rate banding will be up to the value of £250,000 until the 30th September 2021, after which the usual stamp duty banding rules will resume (stamp duty will apply for any purchase over £125,000.00 unless an exemption applies).
