Nichola Williams Awarded Children Law Accreditation
Nichola Williams, Associate Solicitor in our Family care team at Woollcombe Yonge has recently been appointed as a member of the prestigious Law Society's Children Law Panel.
The Law Society's Children Law Accreditation (previously known as the Children Panel Qualification) is a mark of excellence for practitioners representing children in children's law proceedings. It is recognised by the Legal Aid Agency and covers all types of children legal work. It is essential members demonstrate the necessary skill, experience, and knowledge to represent children through their Children’s Guardian or taking instructions directly from children, parents, and other family members in sensitive legal matters.
Membership of the Panel is awarded to those who meet the rigorous criteria set by the Law Society, ensuring the highest standards of advocacy and legal support in cases involving vulnerable children.
Obtaining the Children Law Accreditation is a rigorous process which includes attending an intensive training course, submitting an application covering all aspects of children law practice to the Law Society and an interview with two assessors.
