Woollcombe Yonge attend Careers Carousel at Marjons
During this half term week, we were invited along to attend a careers event at Plymouth Marjon University.
Taking the format of a speed dating event, year 9 and 10 students moved around various stalls and were given the opportunity to ask us questions about our legal life, all in an effort to help raise aspirations and to enable students to find out more about career options.
Tracey Wright, Partner and Head of Wills, Trusts & Probate, attended along with Leonie Rowe, Trainee Legal Executive within our Residential Conveyancing team. Tracey and Leonie were able to give their perspectives on working within two different areas of law and the route to qualification.
Arranged by Next Steps South West (NSSW), part of National Collaborative Outreach Programme, they help young people from disadvantaged areas, including children in the care system, navigate their own personalised journey to Higher Education. They aim to build aspirations, awareness and access to HE, helping young people make an informed decision about their future.
"As a family we found the service provided to us was delivered with ’empathy’ and was in fact ‘outstanding’, we would most certainly recommend Woollcombe Yonge to friends.”
