Woollcombe Yonge Launches Christmas Giving Tree in Support of Gifted Women
Be Someone's Christmas Angel: Woollcombe Yonge Launches Christmas Giving Tree in Support of Gifted Women
This Christmas, we are inviting our colleagues, clients and local community to help spread a little festive joy through our Christmas Angel Tree, supporting our Charity of the Year, Gifted Women.
Christmas is often described as the most wonderful time of the year. It's a season of giving, togetherness and celebration. However, for many, the festive period can also bring financial pressures, uncertainty and feelings of isolation.
At Woollcombe Yonge, we believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, remembered and supported at Christmas. That's why, this year, we're launching our very own Christmas Angel Tree, giving our community the opportunity to make someone's festive season that little bit brighter.
Supporting the Incredible Work of Gifted Women
Our Christmas Angel Tree is being organised in support of Gifted Women, a Plymouth-based charity dedicated to empowering women to overcome barriers, rebuild their confidence and take positive steps towards employment and independence.
Gifted Women works with women who have experienced challenging circumstances, helping them recognise their strengths, develop new skills and build brighter futures.
Throughout our partnership with Gifted Women, we have seen the importance of creating opportunities, building confidence and reminding women of their potential.
Our Christmas Angel Tree is another way for us to support this mission, extending kindness and encouragement beyond the workplace and into the festive season.
A Small Gift Can Make a Big Difference
For many of us, exchanging presents is a familiar part of Christmas. But the true value of a gift isn't always found in what's inside the wrapping paper. Sometimes, it's simply knowing that someone has thought of you.
Receiving a thoughtful gift can provide a moment of happiness during a difficult time and more importantly, it can remind someone that they matter, that their community cares and that they haven't been forgotten.
How Our Christmas Angel Tree Works
Taking part couldn't be easier!
Our Christmas Angel Tree will be decorated with gift tags, each representing a present that someone can purchase for a woman supported by Gifted Women. The tag includes the interests of a Gifted Woman or a gift they would like to receive.
To get involved:
- Choose a tag: Visit our Christmas Angel Tree and select a gift tag.
- Purchase the present: Buy the gift listed on your chosen tag.
- Return your gift: Bring your present back to our Reception by 11th December.
- Spread the joy: We will work with Gifted Women to ensure the gifts reach their intended recipients in time for Christmas.
Whether it's a little luxury, a practical essential or something that brings a smile, every contribution will help us create a Christmas filled with kindness.
The Power of Our Plymouth Community
As a law firm with roots in Plymouth stretching back over 250 years, supporting our local community has always been important to us.
We are incredibly proud to have Gifted Women as our Charity of the Year and to play a small part in the difference they make to women's lives across Plymouth.
Our Angel Tree is an opportunity to bring people together for a shared purpose, demonstrating how individual acts of generosity can collectively create something truly special.
Help Us Make Christmas a Little Brighter
This Christmas, we're asking our colleagues, clients, friends and neighbours to join us in spreading kindness, one gift at a time.
Every tag taken, every present purchased and every act of generosity is a reminder of what makes our community so special.
Our Christmas Angel Tree will be located at our Office’s reception at 5th Floor Old Tree Court, 64 Exeter Street, Plymouth, PL4 0AJ with gifts being collected until 11th December.
Together, we can help make sure the women supported by Gifted Women feel remembered, appreciated and celebrated this Christmas.
Because sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is showing someone that they matter.
