Nichola specialises in public family care work, mainly representing parents in court proceedings issued by social services. Nichola has managed many cases that have successfully resulted in children remaining in the care of their parents and/or other family members at the conclusion of proceedings.
Once such client wrote the following after Nichola represented them in public law proceedings:
“Thankyou soooo much from the bottom of my heart for all your very hard work , I know you’ve gone way above and beyond the basic requirements of your job to help us , my whole family is extremely grateful Nikki , your an absolute star” Mr G.
Nichola is currently working towards joining the Law Society Children Panel which is an important accreditation for solicitors who can demonstrate wide ranging knowledge and expertise in family law matters. Once accredited, Nichola will be qualified to represent children in care proceedings.
Nichola came into the legal professional later in life. She worked in a number of other roles in different industries prior to embarking on her career as a solicitor. She considers that this wide range of experience to be extremely helpful in her current role due to the broad amount of life experience she has.
Nichola lives on the outskirts of Plymouth with her Romanian rescue dog. She spends a lot of time in Cornwall, especially enjoying beach walks. Nichola is a history buff and enjoys nothing more than exploring an ancient ruin and museums.
