Commercial Property and Commercial Legal Assistant/Paralegal

We are seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our friendly, busy Business Services Department.

The successful candidate will be required to assist fee earners in our Business Services Department with the day to day running of commercial property and general commercial files from start to finish.

Previous experience is preferred. Ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience in Commercial Property or general Commercial.

The candidate must have the following essential skills for the role:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• A strong user knowledge of IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Be a team player focused on providing an exceptional service with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organisation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills communicating with clients, lenders and other solicitors.

Tasks will include the following:

1. Pre and post completion work
2. File opening and closing
3. Liaising with clients, lenders and other related parties
4. Admin tasks for active matters
5. Reviewing Title Deeds
6. Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
7. Assisting with drafting/reviewing documents such as:

1. • Leases
   • Deeds
   • Contracts and Transfers
   • Various types of commercial agreements

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Remuneration is competitive and dependent upon experience.

Location: Plymouth, PL4 0BD. Please note this is an office based role.
