Local Criminal Justice Board
Rebecca Wood has joined the Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) for Devon and Cornwall, which works to support improvements in the Criminal Justice System through driving forwards work to address challenges facing the system, as well as maintaining oversight of the criminal justice process.
The Board consists of the Chief Executive Officers of the key agencies in the Criminal Justice System, with the purpose of increasing the efficiency and credibility of the system. The Police and Crime Commissioner is the Chair of the Board and Rebecca aims to provide a voice for the criminal defence community.
Rebecca is Chair of the working group ‘Improving Outcomes for Women in the Criminal Justice System’, as part of the LCJB.
